86% - The Lenovo ThinkPad L390 Yoga is an incremental upgrade over the L380 Yoga. The move to Whiskey Lake processors brings improved performance, and Lenovo has again delivered a budget convertible ThinkPad that does not compromise on the impressive craftsmanship, input devices and performance with which the ThinkPad name is synonymous.

The Lenovo ThinkPad L390 Yoga is a reasonably priced and well-made 13-inch convertible laptop. Lenovo has not abandoned what has impressed us about other ThinkPads to keep costs down too. The company constructs the L390 Yoga with glass fibre, aluminum and magnesium like it does with its more expensive siblings, which makes the L390 Yoga look premium and feel robust. Its wide screen bezels make the L390 Yoga look outdated, but that is still a trait of other ThinkPads. The keyboard delivers the same excellent typing experience that we have come to love on other ThinkPads, but it is a shame that Lenovo has omitted the lift & lock mechanism that it uses on its more expensive convertibles... The display once again leaves us in two minds. It has stable viewing angles it is readable outdoors despite its glossy finish, but it is too dim and color inaccurate for our liking. Overall, the L390 Yoga is an impressive business convertible that delivers a ThinkPad experience on a budget.Reviewed by: Sebastian Bade | Read full review...
