3.5 / 5 stars - The Precision 7720 is a giant, long-lasting workstation. Review date: May 20, 2017 | Model: Dell Precision 7720
The Precision 7720's brilliant display is delightful, its lengthy battery life is better than most workstations' and its performance is more than adequate for 3D graphics work. The only major downside we found is that its SSD was far slower than others we tested. If you can make do with a smaller screen and no VR, consider the less expensive Precision 5520 ($2,621), which is faster and longer-lasting. However, if you want high performance and a giant screen, you'll find the 7720 worth the investment.

In terms of performance, the Dell Precision 7710 proved to be everything you would expect from a 17.3-in. mobile workstation. On the SPECviewperf benchmark, which focuses on graphics, the 7710 scored near the top and beat all other systems equipped with processors designed for mobile systems rather than desktops... As configured, our Dell Precision 7710 currently sells for $3,980 — a competitive price compared to similarly equipped systems. All things considered, the Dell Precision 7710 is a winner and a great choice of any engineer on the go, offering an appealing combination of style, performance and extended battery life at a price that won’t break the bank.

Dell's Precision 7710 was fundamentally revised and made up-to-date in many important aspects. The user gets a mobile workstation with very good performance, easy maintenance, suitable input devices, and a high-end Full HD display suitable for professional use in the new model year... All things considered, you will get a solid mobile workstation for a gross price of about 3730 Euros (~$4068), including 36 months ProSupport with on-site-service in our test model. However, it requires the user to accept some austerities.
