4.4 / 5 stars (97 reviews) - Love the large screen and graphics quality.
Latest review: February 5, 2019 | Model: Dell Inspiron 17 I7786-7199SLV-PUS
Computer works great for my small business. Love the large screen and graphics quality. However, soon after purchasing I discovered that the speakers were faulty and crackle when listening to anything even on a low volume. Unfortunately it is now past the 14day return policy and I would have to go through Dell to issue a return. Might be too much hassle so I'll hold on to it for now. Other than that, I give this computer a 10/10.

Being a child of a very tiny family of devices – 17-inch convertibles, the Dell Inspiron 17 7786 2-in-1 is destined to be a front-runner. The lack of severe competition didn’t make Dell lay back and spoil this device. Actually, here we see quite the opposite. They presented everything a modern flagship of a laptop should offer, just with a larger footprint... Everything sounds perfect, although keep in mind that all of these pros, apart from the performance, are inherited from the Inspiron 17 7779. So if you don’t really need the performance benefits, which are huge, by the way, we would suggest you settle with the older, cheaper notebook. However, if you are all about content creation, the Inspiron 17 7786 2-in-1 can be a really good deal.

Unless you absolutely, positively must have a 17-inch touchscreen laptop that flips over backward, your choices are clear. If you like how this laptop looks, skip the 17-inch Dell Inspiron 17 7000 2-in-1 and buy the 13- or 15-inch model instead... Just know that better laptops with even better graphics are coming soon.

As the world's first 17-inch 2-in-1, the Dell Inspiron 17 7000 Series (7778) makes history—but it's unlikely to change the face of the category. The 2-in-1 concept that makes so much sense for smaller laptops is cumbersome when magnified to this level, especially when it's taken to its fullest Tablet extent. Used in any of its other modes, the 7778 makes considerably more sense, but unless you're someone for whom operating in Tent or Stand mode is a way of life, you'd be served just as well by buying a regular large laptop with a touch screen, such as the Asus Zenbook Pro UX501VW-DS71T$1,479.99 at Amazon, the Lenovo Ideapad Y700 Touch (15")$729.99 at Lenovo, or the Samsung Ativ Book 9 Pro$1,299.99 at Best Buy. And if you want the convertible functionality without the bulk, you can get it from the more portable but just as flexible HP Spectre x360 15t (15-ap012dx), the Lenovo Yoga 900S, or our top pick, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga$1,236.75 at Lenovo.
