3.7 / 5 stars (28 reviews) - Great computer for what I do. I don't do games, but I do watch movies and it's great for that.

I love this thing. It's plenty fast for what I do which is watching movies, surfing, typeing Bible Studies, and what have you. Love the SSD. The case is well built and strong, the computer is clean looking, no flash and the price was great. I'm very happy with this purchase and would buy it again.

Dell used to ship computers and laptops with great setup and tutorial info as soon as you plugged it in. I bought dozens for friends and family. Not this one. Probably because of the lousy Windows 10 OS. Computer is fast for all my basic office computing needs. My complaints are all Windows 10 issues. This laptop has a touch screen but the keyboard does not separate, why bother with touch screen.

As a conclusion, I have to admit that despite its flaws (low display resolution, limited portability), I find all other specs to be in line with the asking price. The Dell Inspiron i3567-5185BLK-PUS is a good mid-range notebook, more powerful than similarly priced competition, but less of an all-rounder and more of a desktop replacement notebook.

Review date: July 26, 2016 | Model: Dell Inspiron 15 3558
The Inspiron 15 (3558) is a fully functional, well-made laptop with good speed and a low price point. It's not packed with features and keeps things simple, but for $329, it's not missing anything essential. Its newer processor provides a noticeable bump up in performance over the Dell Inspiron 17 5000 Series Non-Touch's CPU, and it boasts superior battery life and double the storage. You're getting a smaller screen, but that's really the only downside, and increased portability may be preferable to some. For these reasons, the Dell Inspiron 15 (3558) is our new Editors' Choice budget desktop-replacement laptop. For a smaller and less expensive alternative, the $180 Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Series (3162)$221.87 at Amazon is well worth a look.

Dell's 15-inch Inspiron budget model takes much of the design from past models but refines it slightly to improve its low cost offering. It is still the thinnest and lights of the 15-inch budget laptops on the market that includes a DVD burner but it now features a touchscreen to make navigating Windows 8 even easier. The one downside here is that the inclusion of the touchscreen means that it does not have as much performance as non-touchscreen laptops at this price point but for many looking at a basic PC, it won't matter. It is also nice to see Dell continue to offer more USB ports than other in this price range making for easy external expansion.
