Top Dell Inspiron 5379 Review on Amazon

3.0 / 5 stars (182 reviews) - We like it a lot.

Latest review: December 28, 2018 | Model: Dell Inspiron 5379 i5379-5043GRY-PUS

We like this laptop so much we sold off a 15.5" ACER that my wife had been using and she switched to this one. The smaller size Dell is lighter, thinner, and fast enough for my wife's use... I really appreciate the volume rocker on the right side. I didn't know how important this was until I used my other (much more expensive) laptop to watch some movies and that laptop doesn't have an external volume control. I must use Shift+key to turn the volume up or down. That is particularly annoying when I have the laptop in tent mode. Battery life is easily eight hours. I watched two 2-hour movies on it back-to-back and it only used 40% of the battery.

Dell Inspiron 13 5000 Series 2-in-1 (5368) Review & Rating

3.5 / 5 stars - With some premium features and a budget price, the Dell Inspiron 13 5000 Series 2-in-1 is a good convertible-hybrid laptop for school and the basics. Review date: August 19, 2016 | Model: Dell Inspiron 13 5368

The Dell Inspiron 13 5000 Series 2-in-1 (5368) is a very good choice if you're looking for your first convertible-hybrid laptop, or if you need to buy a Windows laptop for your senior high school or undergrad student. It's in between our current top dogs in this price range: the Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Series 2-in-1 Special Edition (3153), a more compact model designed for better portability, and the Acer Aspire R 14, which has better battery life, double the storage, and extra memory for multitasking. If you're looking to spend between $500 and 700 for a new laptop, the Dell Inspiron 13 is a practical alternative, and should be on your short list.

Dell Inspiron 13 5000 review

3 / 5 stars - Dell got so much right with this device, but then blew it all by fitting a poor screen.Review date: August 16, 2016 | Model: Dell Inspiron 13 5368

Dell has got so many things right with this convertible laptop. It looks great, has a good selection of features and connectivity, provides adequate performance, battery life is just about good enough and its 360-degree hinge makes it a versatile touchscreen device. It also has a great keyboard, trackpad and speakers... That just leaves the £499 model, and while it is hampered by having a slow hard drive and the screen drops even further in quality from an IPS panel to TN, it retains the other good qualities of this hybrid. Compared to many other laptops at that sort of price it actually offers reasonable value, as generally once you start getting below £500 you start to loose the keyboard backlighting, speaker quality drops and design and build quality become noticeably lower. The £499 model isn't a stand-out bargain but is worth considering if your budget can only stretch that far and you want a relatively thin and light laptop.

Dell Inspiron 13 5000 (5368) review

4 / 5 stars - Its battery life and display aren't brilliant, but the Inspiron 13 5368's speed and excellent build quality help bridge the gap. Review date: July 15, 2016 | Model: Dell Inspiron 13 5368

There’s plenty to like about Dell’s Inspiron 13 5368. From the superb build quality, 360-degree touchscreen display and surprisingly fast performance, it’s a great little laptop for using both at home and in the office, and its smaller form factor makes it a much more manageable hybrid than its big brother, the Inspiron 15 5668. Given the choice, I’d probably pick the Inspiron 13 5368, as I prefer its compact size and superior keyboard. I’d also pick this over the Inspiron 15 5668 as well, as its smaller dimensions lend themselves much better to being used as a tablet hybrid. It’s not perfect, but it’s still one of the better laptop/tablet hybrids you can buy today.
