Gaming machines are Windows computers that actually work. This is a very solid, sleek, fast laptop... So if you are buying this gaming laptop because the usual productivity-focused laptops are generally garbage, go for it. If you are actually buying this for gaming, I would DEFINITELY spring for the i7 version, since it has an Nvidia 1050 ti instead of base 1050, has 10x faster multi-threaded CPU performance, and it comes with more RAM and a small SSD as standard. That said, if the SSD uses the 2.5 inch drive bay, you're going to have to remove it for more storage and buy an m.2 SSD. Overall, this is a really great and satisfying laptop and I'm glad I bought it.

The G3 15 is a great refresh of an already impressive, affordable gaming laptop. It has solid performance paired with a great gaming utility on top of awesome battery life for a gaming laptop. It does, however, have a superdull display… But overall, the G3 15 is the cheap gaming laptop to get if you're on a tight budget.
