3.9 / 5 stars (35 reviews) - Best for the MONEY
Latest review: April 17, 2020 | Model: Acer Swift 1 SF114-32-P2PK
I’ve had 2k plus laptops and I’ll gladly admit that this is the best buy for the money....Buy one and a 1TB Crucial SSD from Amazon for under $400 you got yourself a sleek high capacity little laptop to do all your basic needs in style with fantastic battery and VERY acceptable in this price range 1080p display.! I actually gave the older version (13” N4000 model.) to my younger brother going into nursing school.

BUY THIS THING!! ok, seriously, this is THE deal of the season so far. Yes the new i5 has lower base clocks than last generations 7200, the better to extend battery life to right around 9-10 hours depending on what you are doin. However, Intel's new cpu management system jumps the cpu clocks, (All Four Cores) instantly up to 3.4 ghz whenever some power is needed:) The laptop is AMAZINGLY fast for a portable i5... One last thing, it IS possible to 'enhance' the performance of this laptop SUBSTANTIALY utilizing the Intel XTU utility, even to the point of exceeding the performance of the prev gen I7 7700Hq chip, which IS saying something.:) It makes it possible to code/encode vids etc. within a reasonalble time frame AND, IF you use a GOOD laptop cooler etc., you can also tweak the MX 150 and thus experience a considerable increase in gaming fps. Like I said, this laptop is a steal for the money.

Latest review: January 24, 2019 | Model: Acer Swift 5 SF514-52T-82WQ
Purchased this laptop as a downgrade to my Alienware 13r3. I'm done gaming on the PC and wanted something lightweight with good battery life and this Acer checked all of the boxes for me. Couple of things for those of you who want to buy this laptop and possibly do some upgrades or have some specific questions that don't seem to be answered properly... All I can say so far is this purchase is great. Fast laptop with everything I need. I don't need an I7, 16gb of RAM, or discrete graphics since I'm done gaming on a PC for now. I do recommend upgrading the SSD to something with more space and the network card for sure. The network card may be the best upgrade for the money as about $25 gets you the Intel 9260 and the switch is easy. As usual be careful on the network card switch. Invest in some small tools such as precision screwdrivers and micro needle nose pliers and be gentle with the antennae leads and you shouldn't have a problem.

I love this laptop. I've been waiting patiently to try out Ryzen 7! The aluminum body is a nice touch on a fairly well-rounded laptop. My only concern is with the lack of a 16GB RAM option. That kinda stinks with an integrated graphics system, but I haven't had a chance to play anything serious to really stress the system. Will update if I find the performance to ever be subpar, but so far, my experience is fantastic.

Review date: January 29, 2019 | Model: Acer Swift 7
The Acer Swift 7 is the result of Acer’s hellbent journey to make the next “world’s thinnest” laptop. It definitely got there and can put that string of words on the box, but what kind of product did it result in? Frankly, one that’s far to easily outpaced and outpriced... While we admire Acer’s excellent product design chops brought to bear in the Swift 7, we can’t confidently recommend you buy this laptop unless you must absolutely fulfill your desire to own the thinnest laptop.

Evaluating and ranking the Acer Swift 5 has been a real challenge, to say the least. Its very low weight of less than 1 kg (~2.2 lb) is certainly a big plus. However, due to the dark and highly reflective display portability suffered considerably... Despite its very specific target audience, we consider the extreme throttling issues in dire need of improvement. Our wish list for a possible successor also includes a brighter display of comparable quality.

The Acer Swift 3 is a near-perfect laptop for those who want an ultraportable, but don’t want to fork out £1000+. Build quality is great, battery life very good, and performance a match for much more expensive laptops. There are just two areas where the low price shows. First, it's a little thicker and heavier than some ultrabooks. It looks good enough, but limited maximum brightness and fairly poor colour reproduction limits its usefulness in certain situations.
