3.8 / 5 stars (3 reviews) - Solid Mid-Range Chromebox
Latest review: April 6, 2019 | Model: Acer Chromebox CXI3-i38GNKM
I was looking for a Chromebox that could be my primary desktop system and wanted something with a bit more oomph than the typical Celeron/4GB of RAM config. I have this driving a 34" ultra-wide display, usually with a dozen or so tabs open, all while running a couple Android and Linux apps. This thing hardly ever hiccups. It's also very quiet, I only hear the fan for a split second when it first powers on. Only a couple minor complains - It doesn't come with a mouse and keyboard and it wouldn't connect my bluetooth keyboard during setup. I had to find an old wired one and plug it in to complete setup, then setup my bluetooth KB after signing in. The other minor complaint is there's only one analog audio out and it's in the front. That's great if you're plugging headphones into it, but now I have a speaker cable hanging out of the front of the system. Not a huge deal but doesn't look as clean. Overall very happy with the system and would buy again.
